Well, lots of reasons\u2026
I’ve had it for so long that it’s hard to let go of.
It fills that empty space in the cabinet.
What would I replace it with?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So many questions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it because it is, or was, important to me?
Because I have memories of when it didn’t cut me?
Because I used to heal more quickly?
Because it was the only glass I had?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, why do I keep reaching for it now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Partly out of habit, partly out of hope.
Partly because I don’t want to regret throwing it away.
Partly because I’m scared to be without it, scared to be truly on my own.
