I recently got a shirt that is very vibrant, and has an appearance of a rainbow of paint colors across it. When I was talking about it, I said, “I am many colors” and it was recommended that I write about it, so here it goes.

Red is the blood of life. It is our fire. Blood carries our energy. Blood keeps us alive, but if too much of gets outside of our body, we die. Fire inside us can bring us energy, but if it runs too hot, it can consume us.

Blue is calmness. A cool, soothing place. Meditative. Stay too long and it can get cold or dull. And sometimes, the coolness provides space for us to see the fire that’s been burning, the one that we couldn’t perceive when our whole body is full of fire and energy.

Green is nature. It is a place to sit and feel the enormity of the world. Sometimes that enormity can feel unsettling, and sometimes it can feel like being held by the universe.

Yellow is sunshine. Wonderful when it falls on your face in the winter, oppressive when it’s the middle of summer. It burns our skin if we get too much of it.

Each color can sometimes bring solace and sometimes bring danger. Each of the facets of ourselves can do the same. Next time you’re in a place where you’re in a color that’s not feeling right, try looking at it from the perspective of another color.

[Ed. Note] There are more colors that I may expand on, but I wanted to get the thoughts out rather than wait for perfection.
